Evolution Osteopathy is led by Matthew Wood. Matthew trained at the London School of Osteopathy and has a wide range of skills gained from working with patients from all walks of life, being based as a Osteopath in Waterloo he works with everyone from pregnant mothers to office workers and athletes.

Matthew has previously worked with the Southwark Lancers RFC, due to originally studying Performing Arts as his first degree, Matthew has always had a fascination with how the body moves and how people can adapt their body to different situations and so has completed the DMA Clinical Pilates L1 and the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute L1 Courses, is a qualified personal trainer and integrates this knowledge into his practice and exercise. He has also done supplementary training in Medical Acupuncture / Dry Needling and IASTM.

Matthew is originally from New Zealand and moved to London in the late 1990′s. He has a keen interest in Triathlon and its composite sports and has run several marathons and shorter races and so understands first hand how important it is to stay healthy and treat sport injuries quickly. Matthew has a great interest in Circus both personally and professionally, working with performers as well as practicing aerial arts himself and enjoys pushing beyond his comfort zone. He has a diverse background from working in the Arts, the Public Sector and Sports, and worked on the London 2012 Olympics. Matthew is passionate about working with patients in order to achieve the best results possible.

He has over the last few years become interested in the uses of Focused Shockwave Therapy for helping fix chronic conditions and in the treatment of Men’s Health.
